Quick Actions Save Student

Ontario High School Health teacher Kris Knapp was honored by parents and the Ontario School Board  for saving a choking student's life.  Mr. Knapp's training and quick reaction brought a great ending to what could have been a tragic situation when he recognized a choking student during lunch duty.  His quick response in the application of the Heimlich procedure was able to dislodge material that had totally blocked the student's airway and saved the life of one of his students.

During the course of the year Kris instructs not only students, but area teachers and coaches, in the proper application of CPR and the Heimlich procedures.  On November 2, 2008 he made everyone a believer that this knowledge is truly life saving.

Congratulations and thank you for all you do for the students and community of Ontario!

Are you certified in life-saving techniques?  If not, I might suggest taking one of Mr. Knapp's courses to receive this training.
